AIX – PHILA Briefmarken GmbH

Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle), Charlemagne's historical city in the centre of Europe, is home to the auctioneering and trading house AIX-PHILA. The company was founded in 1987 and has been registered in the General Register of Companies as AIX-PHILA Briefmarken GmbH since 1992.
AIX-PHILA's stamp auctions have developed rapidly to become an integral part of philatelic life in the local area, making a name for themselves not only in the region but also amongst collectors throughout Europe and overseas. The auctions attract considerable attention in the specialist press and are attended by collectors, dealers and investors alike as well as - last but not least - established philatelic commission agents.
Coin auctions offering a wide range of material from the world of numismatics take place alongside the stamp auctions. The correct, discreet and smooth handling of all business transactions forms the basis of company policy at AIX-PHILA Briefmarken GmbH as does expert advice on all areas of philately and numismatics. This philosophy and the company's regular presence in the specialist press and at major German and international stamp fairs has resulted in an increase in the number of active AIX-PHILA customers to more than 20,000 worldwide.
In 2008, AIX-PHILA began close co-operation with external link in a new window SAARPHILA, the long-established auctioneers in Saarbrücken. High-quality and particularly unusual Saar material is auctioned in Saarbrücken at regular intervals while stamps and coins from all other areas are auctioned in Aachen. Consignments can be accepted at both locations for either auction.
